Yaz Rosete is a rad illustrator we worked with on a recent illustration on self-care. We asked her for a quick Q&A about her self-care routines below.
Name: Yaz Rosete
Age: 27
Job: Independent Illustrator & Graphic Designer
Location: Portland, Oregon. (previously Brooklyn, New York)
What does self-care mean to you?
Self-care is part of one’s lifestyle, and usually the first thing to start the day and last thing before going to bed. It is important because it gives you self-discipline, and helps keep you inspired and focused when working.
Do you have a go-to self-care ritual for a particularly crazy busy week?
A hot shower, cup of tea, lemon-ginger cocktail, detox face mask, or a book or movie. But more often I end up doodling in my sketchbook.
Do you have any specific beauty, skincare, or other product recommendations you’re loving?
For skincare, I recommend drinking a lot of water, and I mean A LOT of water. As for products, I am currently obsessed with Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Castile Soap, Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Cream, and raw coconut oil for hair.
